Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery
A peaceful final resting place for you and your loved ones.
-
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery is located on the northwest side of Watertown along Juneau Street, between Fourth Street and Allwardt Street.
-
In life and in death, God’s love and grace for all people is celebrated at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. You do not need to be a member of Immanuel to have Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery as your final resting place.
-
The purchase of all graves and columbarium niches includes their perpetual care, which is the duty of the Cemetery Committee and the Cemetery Sexton. Additionally, the Immanuel Cemetery Endowment Fund has been established for the general repair, improvement, and expansion of the cemetery.
-
A columbarium is a dedicated place, above the ground, for the cremated remains of loved ones.
-
It may seem that way at first. However, when you consider the costs associated with traditional burial (casket, stone, etc.), cremation and inurnment in a columbarium niche is most often significantly less expensive. There are many factors to determining the costs of your final arrangements. Discussing options with a local funeral home will be extremely helpful in determining the right next steps for you or your loved ones.
-
Each niche is a 12 inch cube (twelve inches wide, tall, and deep). While this is regarded as a two-person niche, the size and shape of the urn(s) you select will affect whether the remains of one or two people can be inurned in your niche.
-
Yes. Space has been set aside on the cemetery grounds for several columbaria to be placed when the first columbarium has reached its capacity and additional niche spaces are needed.
