DAWN WESTENBERG
Financial Secretary
I have lived in Watertown my entire life. My father was in the Army, so I remember lots of wonderful summer vacations spent in what ever state or country he was stationed in. The best were Colorado and Germany. Bob and I were married in 2004. While we don’t have any children, we do have children of the furry four-footed variety known as cats, who behave just like children at times.
Bob and I are members of Ebenezer Moravian Church, where I teach the youngest Sunday school class. We are a small church, so I have students ranging from 2 to 7 years old.
I worked at City Hall in the Clerk/Treasurer’s office for over 20 years. I still help at election time doing absentee voting in nursing homes and residential care centers, as well as working at the polls as chairperson on Election Day.
I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Watertown Food Pantry as Treasurer and Volunteer Coordinator. Through a fellow board member and Immanuel church member, Bob and I started cleaning at Immanuel in May 2010. On November 30, 2015, I began working as Financial Secretary. Nothing but good has come out of being at Immanuel. The people at Immanuel are so nice to work with; and I’m getting to know more of you every day. My co-workers are wonderful. I think we make a great team.
