PEACE in our HOMES

Written by Linda Argus

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. — Ephesians 4:3

With so much happening in our world today and with the busy lives of families, finding peace can be difficult. Promoting peace in our homes offers a place for family to be safe, comfortable, calm and where you can be yourself. Peace in our homes is a place to live harmoniously with others.

When our children were younger and were fighting again. And yes, our children fought too. We had them go outside until they settled their fight. Make your house a peaceful place by making your home a “fight free zone” by taking the disagreements outside the house. On warm days the conflict resolves itself with the fresh air and sunshine. On cold days the conflict will resolve even quicker once the cold starts to set in.

Peace in our homes can also  be achieved by getting physical.. Singing and dancing together and most of all laughing more can reduce conflict by reducing tension and releasing energy. Your body, mind and spirit will feel better.

Keep Christ at the center of your lives and find trust in him and peace in your heart.

Lord, provide me the tools to encourage peace in our home. Help me to encourage singing, dancing and laughter
so we can all feel comfortable, calm and at peace with one another.
Amen.
