Bishop Kay Ward to Preach on September 3rd
We are delighted to welcome the Rt. Rev. Dr. Kay Ward back to Immanuel's pulpit on Sunday, September 3 at 9:00am (Labor Day weekend)!
Kay, as she prefers to be called, was elected as a bishop in the Moravian Church in 1998 - the first woman in that role. She has served in congregational ministry and as a seminary professor, and has written several books and bible studies - including content for Gather, the magazine of Women of the ELCA. Kay and her husband, the Rev. Aden Ward, now reside at The Marquardt here in Watertown. Aden has sung with the Faithful Men, and both have preached at Immanuel in the past. We look forward to the grace and humor she will bring to our worship on September 3rd!
