Supporting Our Students!
Once again, Immanuel joins with the congregations of Shared Community Mission and our wider community in the Supporting Our Students (SOS) school supply drive and distribution for families in need.
How it works:
Families in need pre-register at one of several locations throughout the city (including at Immanuel and the sites for Sandwiches in the Park). On the day of distribution, families arrive (at their pre-arranged time) at the parking lot at St. Henry’s Catholic Church where they are greeted by our amazing volunteers who help them receive their school supplies, select their very own backpack off of the fence, choose a book, and more!
How you can help:
This important work is only possible because of your donations of school supplies and monetary donations. You may bring school supplies with you to worship and place them in the barrel in the narthex. You can also bring them to the church office during the week. Designated monetary offerings for SOS are encouraged as well.
